About the role
The Youth Residential Rehabilitation Service (YRRS) is a strength-based, recovery orientated residential program. We support young people aged between 16-21 years who are recovering from mental ill health, with up to 12 months residential-based support.
In a safe, home-like environment, the service provides clients with individual and group-based supports promoting resilience, interpersonal skills, enhanced social connections, life skills, access to the community and a greater sense of being able to make sound decisions. Young people benefit from sharing their experiences and recovery journeys whilst growing their confidence and skills to live independently in the community.
We are seeking self-motivated, empathetic Community Mental Health Practitioners for casual opportunities to work alongside a caring team on a 24/7 rotating roster in the Townsville area. You will deliver person-centred, recovery-oriented care to support young people develop social and community connections, build daily living skills, live independently and achieve recovery goals.
