About the role

The Lived Experience organisational function drives the implementation of lived experienced, human rights, social justice and intersectionality informed reforms to the mental health system.  

 

We are seeking a self-motivated, compassionate Lived Experience Operational Development Lead for a 12 month fixed term, fulltime opportunity in the Burnley area. You will use lived expertise to lead the operational development for lived experience led services. This role will support the establishment of new Lived Experience Led services, embed best practice approaches and collaborate with key stakeholders.

 

Key responsibilities

  • Demonstrate knowledge and abilities gained from one’s own lived/living experiences and collective impacts.
  • Apply extensive operational knowledge and best practice methodologies in supporting Lived Experience service establishment, development and continuous improvement across Lived Experience Led Services.
  • Identify and address gaps and opportunities in Mind’s policies, procedures and governance processes to ensure the LE led services, projects and tasks are delivered within the expected principles and requirements including national standards and legislative requirements.
  • Contribute to the governance, compliance and continuity activities.

 

What you’ll bring

  • Completion of Intentional Peer Support Core and/ or Advanced Training, or Certificate IV in Mental Health Peer Work.
  • Have a lived/living experience of mental distress and recovery and understanding of, and ability and willingness to, contribute this Lived Expertise in working towards greater organisational impact.
  • Demonstrated operational management experience.
  • Strong track record of leading projects at program, organisation or community level.
