About the role
The Information Services function is to provide reliable, cost-effective and secure technologies and support services that enable Mind’s staff to professionally engage with, and support, our clients. The function provides Executive and Operational Management with technology strategic direction and investment options.
We are seeking an experienced Data Governance Lead for a permanent, full-time opportunity in the Burnley area. You will provide enterprise leadership to ensure Mind’s data is trusted, meaningful and fit for purpose, enabling informed decision making, service improvement and better outcomes for consumers. Responsible for defining, connecting and governing information across the organisation, the role ensures data is safe, ethical and compliant while supporting insight into consumer journeys, service effectiveness and system impact.
Key responsibilities
- Design and maintain an enterprise-wide data governance framework that supports consistency, interoperability and insight.
- Define data ownership, stewardship and accountability across services and corporate functions.
- Partner with service, strategy and outcomes teams to capture and use data that improves understanding of consumer pathways, service effectiveness and continuous improvement.
- Support consistent and reliable information exchange with external partners, including clinical providers, while maintaining clarity of ownership and accountability.
- Establish enterprise data quality principles, metrics and improvement practices.
What you’ll bring
- Tertiary qualifications (minimum Certificate IV) in Information Management, Data Management, Information Systems, Health Informatics, Analytics, Business or other related field
- Minimum 7 years’ experience in data governance, information management or data enablement roles.
- Demonstrated experience establishing enterprise Data Governance Frameworks, policies, standards and stewardship models.
- Strong understanding of Australian privacy, health information and regulatory requirements.
- Demonstrated experience implementing data quality, metadata, data classification and information lifecycle management practices.
