About the role

The Property, Facilities & Procurement business unit manages and ensures effective operation of Mind Australia and its subsidiary, The Haven Foundation and One Door Mental Health assets and properties across Australia. The business unit is responsible for overseeing and maintaining facilities, commercial and residential properties, grounds, plant and equipment, property leases, capital projects, tenders, office relocations, supplier agreements and commercial contracts to support efficient service delivery.

We are seeking an experienced, self-motivated National Property Manager for a permanent, fulltime opportunity in the Burnley area. You will be responsible for developing and implementing Mind Australia’s operational lease management strategy across leased and owned sites nationally. The role focuses on optimising property performance and value through effective lease management, cost control, and compliance.

 

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a national property and leasing strategy that supports Mind’s operational, financial objectives and growth.
  • Manage end-to-end lease lifecycle activities including new leases, renewals, extensions, surrenders, make-good processes and rent reviews.
  • Ensure adherence to all lease and statutory obligations, including health and safety, insurance, and environmental requirements.
  • Work closely with the Property Development team to understand new developments and leasing arrangements, providing guidance and support where applicable to ensure alignment with Mind’s operational and property strategy.
  • Support the development and monitoring of the national property budget and lease expenditure forecasts.

 

What you’ll bring

  • Tertiary qualifications in either Lease Management, Property, Business, Facilities Management, or a related discipline.
  • Extensive experience in residential and commercial property and lease management across a national or multi-site portfolio.
  • Proven ability to negotiate leases, manage renewals, and achieve cost savings through effective property strategies.
  • Strong understanding of property legislation, compliance obligations, and risk management.
  • Experience within the community, health, or not-for-profit sectors is highly regarded.
