      About the role

      As part of the Business Services stream, Finance’s primary function is to provide financial analysis on the various aspects of the organisation, financial planning for the future, tender costing, advice and other advisory services as requested by senior management and the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) to drive the business strategy and ensure financial sustainability and agility.

      We are seeking an experienced Senior Finance Business Partner to join our team in Burnley on a permanent, full‑time basis. In this pivotal role, you will deliver high‑level financial, commercial, and strategic support to operational leaders, ensuring services remain financially sustainable and aligned with Mind’s strategic objectives.

      You will lead financial performance analysis, provide funding and pricing insights, support forecasting activities, and offer strategic advice across the full contract and service lifecycle. Working closely with FP&A, you will share accountability for the financial assumptions underpinning budgets, forecasts, and business cases, while proactively identifying risks, opportunities, and long‑term sustainability considerations.

       

      Key responsibilities

      • Act as a senior finance advisor to operational and executive leaders on funding, contracting, and commissioning matters.
      • Assess the financial viability and sustainability of contracts and funding models prior to execution and throughout delivery.
      • Lead monthly financial performance analysis, insights, and commentary for assigned portfolios.
      • Partner with operations to understand drivers, risks, opportunities, and corrective actions.
      • Support pricing, tender evaluation, contract negotiations, and funding model design.

       

      What you’ll bring

      • Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or Management.
      • Professional accreditation such as CPA, CA, or CIMA is highly regarded.
      • Extensive experience in senior finance business partnering within complex service environments.
      • Demonstrated ability to partner effectively with operational leaders to drive financial performance and influence strategic decision‑making.
      • Strong commercial judgement supported by advanced financial modelling and scenario analysis skills.
      • Experience working with NDIS, government commissioning, or complex funding arrangements is desirable.
