About the role

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Service Manager to lead the Youth Residential Rehabilitation Service in Caboolture. In this role, you will oversee all program operations, ensuring service delivery aligns with Mind’s Model of Recovery-Oriented Practice, the My Better Life model, and organisational values.

 

You will manage staff, performance, and budget targets while supporting young people experiencing psychosocial disability. The role also involves fostering a high-performance, engaged team and building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

 

Key responsibilities

  • Manage the daily operations of the program to ensure the service is operating efficiently and effectively.
  • Lead the delivery of client, family, and carer services according to the Model of Recovery-Oriented Practice, ensuring tailored, high-quality support.
  • Oversee, coach, and model flexible, person-centred, and integrated responses to clients.
  • Build and lead a high-performance team through clear direction, engagement, and staff development.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including communities, service providers, partners, and government agencies.

 

What you’ll bring

  • Tertiary qualifications (minimum Certificate IV) in Mental Health, Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy or other health-related field.
  • Experience working with people with mental health challenges, complex needs, and their families/carers.
  • Strong knowledge of mental health service delivery, service development, financial management, budget control, and reporting.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to coach, mentor, and develop teams to achieve high-quality outcomes.
