About the role
We are looking for a passionate and experienced staff member to take on a 4-week secondment with our Wellness Connect and Family Mental Health Support Service in Grenfell. This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a leadership role, support a dedicated team, and make a real difference in the lives of people, their families, and carers.
During this secondment, you will act as the practice lead, providing supervision, mentoring, and coaching to staff, while overseeing the day-to-day operations of the service in accordance with service requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Support and coach a team to provide trauma-informed services to children and young people utilising evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
- Model effective practice to staff working with people, provide support to families and carers, and plan and deliver group work.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the service including administration, rostering, facilitating handovers and monitoring budget expenditure.
- Collaborate with a range of services and the community to ensure a coordinated, integrated response to people’s recovery goals.
What you’ll bring
- Tertiary qualifications (minimum Certificate IV) in Mental Health, Peer Work, Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy or other health-related field.
- Expertise in supporting people with mental health challenges and complex needs, with proven ability to lead teams in recovery-oriented, trauma-informed, and family-inclusive practices.
