About the role

We are seeking an experienced, driven Service Manager within the Seymour and Greater Shepparton areas. Leading and managing all aspects of the programs, you will ensure provision of high quality  service delivery consistent with Mind’s My Better Life model and organisational values. Your leadership will support positive outcomes for residents, people who access services, and their families and carers.

 

About the services

The Housing with Support residential service is a long-term integrated social housing program for people living with  enduring psychosocial disability. The SIL Haven residences are staffed 7 days a week, 24 hours and designed like a ‘home away from home’ funded through client’s NDIS packages. The service works collaboratively with Service Users providing personalised 1:1 support, shared supports and group activities based on strengths and goals identified in an individual’s recovery plan to build daily living skills, strengthen relationships with families and carers, enhance social connections and community networks, and grow confidence and capacity to live safely in the community. The role will also provide leadership to a community-based outreach service in the area.

 

Key responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor effective practice, manage service delivery and provide support to Service Users, families and carers.
  • Coach the teams to provide targeted, integrated and individualised responses to Service Users through flexible, person-centred active supports.
  • Guide  high performing teams by engaging staff, setting clear direction and performance expectations.
  • Undertake administrative tasks and achievement of service performance and agreed targets.
  • Collaborate with a range of services and the community to ensure co-ordinated, integrated responses to recovery goals.

 

What you’ll bring

  • Tertiary qualifications (minimum Certificate IV) in Mental Health, Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy or other health-related field.
  • Extensive experience in Community Services, Mental Health, Housing, Healthcare or Disability sectors and working with people with mental health issues, and with their families and carers.
  • Proven ability to effectively build and coach  teams to achieve high quality service outcomes.
  • Strong knowledge of mental health service delivery, service development and design, financial management, budget control and reporting.
  • Successful track record in nurturing relationships with service providers, partners and key stakeholders.
