About the role
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager for a fixed-term, full-time opportunity to lead the establishment of the Cairns Medicare Mental Health Centre. In this role, you will act as a liaison between the project team and senior management, utilising proven project management methodologies and tools to plan, monitor, and report on the progress of the Establishment Project Plans (EPPs). You will proactively identify and mitigate risks, coordinate people and processes, and ensure project milestones are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with Mind’s objectives.
Working collaboratively with the General Manager, Complex Care National Services, and other key stakeholders, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful establishment of the new service.
The role will primarily be based in Cairns, but occasional travel to other locations may be required.
About the new Service
The Cairns Medicare Mental Health Centre will provide a welcoming, low-stigma, and accessible entry point for engagement, assessment, and treatment for people experiencing distress or crisis. It will offer immediate, short-term, and medium-term clinical and non-clinical support while connecting people with ongoing services.
