YSUSD is a short-term, recovery-focused program for young people aged 16–21, delivered in partnership with the local health service. The service provides a supportive, therapeutic environment as a ‘step up’ alternative to hospital admission or a ‘step down’ transition back into the community.

  • Work collaboratively with young people, families, carers and internal/external services.
  • Engage young people in meaningful one-on-one and group activities that support their personalised recovery goals.

What you’ll bring

  • Tertiary qualifications (minimum Certificate IV) in Mental Health, Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy or other health-related field.
  • Experience supporting young people with mental health challenges, complex needs and interacting with families and carers.
