About the role

This is an internal secondment opportunity for a compassionate and motivated Lead Practitioner – Family Engagement to join the Bundaberg team. In this role, you will provide practice leadership and work collaboratively with staff, families, and carers to support positive recovery outcomes and ensure family-inclusive service delivery.

 

You will mentor and guide staff in delivering psychosocial rehabilitation, recovery programs, and support services aligned with Mind’s Recovery-Oriented Practice framework and values.

 

Key responsibilities

  • Provide direct support to people by developing individual recovery plans, enhancing daily living skills, and fostering independence
  • Support families and carers through education, engagement, and inclusion in service planning
  • Guide and mentor Community Mental Health Practitioners through coaching, training, and professional development
  • Plan and deliver group programs focused on recovery, wellbeing, and community transition
  • Collaborate with services and community stakeholders to ensure a coordinated approach to clients’ recovery goals

 

What you’ll bring

  • Tertiary qualifications (minimum Certificate IV) in Mental Health, Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy or other health-related field.
  • Valid CPR and First Aid certifications.
  • Expertise working with clients with mental health issues, complex needs and interacting with families and carers.
  • Proven capability to implement therapeutic, recovery-oriented frameworks and practices including risk mitigation, trauma informed care and family inclusive practice.
  • Ability to provide evidence of Vaccination Preventable Diseases or obtain required vaccinations in line with our partnership with QLD Health.
