About the role
The Mental Health and Wellbeing Local services act as a front door to the mental health service system and provides a continuum of care and support including clinical interventions, wellbeing supports, and therapeutic support through an integrated mental health and alcohol and other drug framework approach.
We are seeking a self-motivated, experiences Practice Implementation Lead - Mental Health and Wellbeing Locals for a Permanent, Full-Time opportunity in the Burnley area. You will play a key role in driving the collaborative development and implementation of practice at the local level in the Mind-led Mental Health & Well-being Locals but utilising coproduction and co-design methods wherever possible.
Key responsibilities
- Develop skills and knowledge in the service stream to provide practice support, development, implementation and practice translation to staff in the Locals.
- Facilitate consistency through the translation of frameworks, practice and knowledge sharing by contributing to the development and implementation of practice guidelines within the Locals.
- Consult and work collaboratively with the Lived Experience Division and operational staff in designated Lived expertise roles to ensure lived experience is incorporated into practice development and quality improvement.
- Work closely with the Learning & Development team to strengthen links between workforce development and practice, e.g. contribute to the development of evidence-based learning programs as well as embedding knowledge transfer methods.
- Support integration and the development of a consistent approach to the articulation of frameworks, service models, operating procedures and practice guidelines.
- Provide high level advice to the Locals General Manager to enable effective planning, management and review of safety and quality issues.
What you’ll bring
- Mental Health, AOD, Health, Social Policy, Social Science or other related field as designated by Mind. Post-graduate tertiary qualifications in a relevant field is desirable.
- Demonstrated success in supporting the design, management, implementation and evaluation of practice improvement projects or change management programs.
- Demonstrated ability to use effective methods to support the translation of frameworks, tools and service concepts into practice.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to collaborate and effectively engage across diverse disciplines.
- A lived experience of mental health challenges, AOD challenges and recovery or experience caring for a person with mental health challenges or AOD challenges is desirable.
