About the role
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Psychologist to join our Allied Health team in a full-time, fixed-term opportunity supporting clients across the Logan area.
In this role, you will deliver evidence based, time limited psychological therapies, provide expert consultation, and offer specialist services including positive behaviour support and capacity building to people experiencing severe and complex mental health challenges and co-occurring disability support needs.
Working within a multidisciplinary environment, you will collaborate closely with internal teams, external service providers, primary care professionals, and private health insurers to deliver coordinated, person-centred care.
About the Service
The Allied Health service delivers specialist supports and clinical interventions to assist people with complex psychosocial and disability support needs to achieve meaningful recovery outcomes.
Through a multidisciplinary team, services include clinical assessment, psychological therapies, mental health counselling, vocational support, positive behaviour support, and access to broader service networks. The service is recovery-oriented, strengths-based, and focused on improving independence, wellbeing, and community participation.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver flexible therapeutic support services including assessments, brief clinical intervention, treatment planning and evaluation, and education in line with professional, ethical, and National Standards.
- Provide expert clinical consultation and advice to internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Support referral coordination, assertive follow-up, and holistic recovery-focused care delivery.
- Demonstrate clinical leadership through care coordination, advocacy, and collaborative service delivery.
- Work collaboratively with primary care providers, clinical teams, and stakeholders to ensure coordinated, person-centred care.
What you’ll bring
- Tertiary qualification in Psychology with current AHPRA registration as a Registered Psychologist.
- Accreditation or willingness to work towards Positive Behaviour Support credentialing (highly desirable)
- Proven experience delivering psychological interventions in complex mental health and disability support contexts, including collaborative work with families and carers.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to plan, implement, and prioritise to meet service delivery requirements.
- Understanding of the NDIS, Community Services sector, Private Health and ability to build strong relationships with service providers, clinical teams and key stakeholders.
