About the role

This is a strategic and operational leadership role at the heart of our People Practice & Learning function.

As Senior Manager, Human Resources Operations, you will lead the delivery and continuous improvement of core HR services across:

  • Business Partnering
  • Recruitment
  • HR Systems & Operations

Working closely with senior leaders, you’ll drive a contemporary HR model that enhances workforce capability, strengthens organisational performance, and supports sustainable growth across a national footprint.

 

What you’ll do

  • Lead end-to-end HR operations, ensuring high-quality, consistent service delivery across the organisation
  • Partner with the Executive Director, People, Practice and Learning and senior leaders to align HR strategy with business priorities
  • Embed and evolve the HR Business Partner model to maximise impact
  • Drive process optimisation, policy development, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Strengthen workforce planning, capability, attraction and retention strategies
  • Ensure compliance with legislation, awards, and enterprise agreements while simplifying processes for leaders
  • Champion scalable, tech-enabled HR systems and solutions
  • Contribute to national workforce strategies supporting Mind’s service delivery

 

What you’ll bring

You’re a collaborative and forward-thinking HR leader who thrives in complex, purpose-driven environments.

Your experience includes:

  • Significant senior HR leadership experience in sectors such as community services, mental health, disability, health, or government
  • Strong expertise across employee and industrial relations, workforce planning, change management, and HR systems
  • Proven ability to lead teams and influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Deep understanding of industrial frameworks, particularly SCHADS Award and EBAs
  • Experience driving contemporary HR practices, transformation, and continuous improvement
  • Tertiary qualifications in HR, IR, Organisational Behaviour, Psychology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

 

Highly regarded:

  • Knowledge of the NDIS and related service environments (SIL, Core Supports, residential care)
  • Expertise in working with people with mental health issues, complex needs and interacting with families and carers.
