About the role

We are seeking a Team Leader to join the Outreach Psychosocial Services SA team on a permanent, full-time opportunity. In this role, you will lead and support a team in delivering high-quality, recovery-oriented support to people, their families, and carers, in line with Mind’s Model of Recovery Oriented Practice and organisational values.

 

You will act as the practice lead by providing supervision, mentoring and coaching to staff, while also overseeing the day-to-day operations of the service in accordance with service requirements.

 

Key responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and support a team to deliver high-quality, recovery-oriented services that promote positive educational, social, and independent living outcomes.
  • Provide direct support to people to return to their community, live independently and enjoy a meaningful life through a staged approach to recovery.
  • Model best practice, support staff working with people, engage with families and carers, and plan and facilitate group programs.
  • Oversee the day-to-day service operations, including administration, rostering, handovers, and monitoring budget expenditure.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with community partners and services to support coordinated, integrated responses to recovery goals.

 

What you’ll bring

  • Tertiary qualifications (minimum Certificate IV) in Mental Health, Peer Work, Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy or other health-related field.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting people with mental health challenges and complex needs, with the ability to lead teams using recovery-oriented, trauma-informed, and family-inclusive practices.
