About the role

The Business Services team which has responsibility for the following functions within the organisation: Financial Control, Financial Planning & Analysis, Information Systems, Facilities Management and Property Services, and the co-ordination of Enterprise Risk Management and Compliance across the organisation.

 

We are seeking an experienced Contract Manager for a permanent, full time opportunity in the Burnley area. You will work with the relevant general managers overseeing each program contract and are responsible for ensuring end to end contract administration, governance, and reporting is in place to support the governance of all contracted and subcontracted services. The role provides a critical organisational shift to a mature contract management operating model — administratively, operationally, and culturally.

 

Key responsibilities

  • Coordinate end-to-end development of contracting and subcontracting agreements, variations, extensions, and schedules.
  • Liaise with legal support as required to obtain timely advice, clarify complex provisions, and ensure contract terms reflect organisational requirements.
  • Manage all outgoing communication with contractors and subcontractors relating to contractual matters
  • Maintain the organisation’s legal contracts procedure and related processes.
  • Establish and maintain a subcontracting governance framework, including roles, responsibilities, controls, and escalation pathways.

 

What you’ll bring

Essential

  • Extensive experience in contract administration, legal coordination, procurement, or service delivery governance.
  • Strong understanding of government funded service models (health, community, or human services preferred).
  • High-level ability to draft, interpret, analyse, and operationalise complex contractual arrangements.

Desirable

  • Experience in managing subcontracting relationships exceeding $20M annually.
  • Experience in drafting contracts
