About the role

As part of the Business Services stream, Finance’s primary function is to provide financial analysis on the various aspects of the organisation, financial planning for the future, tender costing, advice and other advisory services as requested by senior management and the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) to drive the business strategy and ensure financial sustainability and agility.

 

We are seeking an self-motivated, experienced Finance Business Partner to join our team in Burnley on a permanent, full‑time basis. In this pivotal role, will be responsible for providing financial information, expert advice, efficient business models, tools, internal and external reporting, financial analysis and insights to various clients groups within a business portfolio.

 

Key responsibilities

  • Deliver high quality Finance business partnering services and support to a portfolio of clients including Executive Directors, Senior Managers, General Managers, Business Managers and Service Managers.
  • Provide expert strategic and technical advice and support to stakeholders to make informed decisions regarding budgeting, planning, forecasting, business sustainability, growth and innovation.
  • Develop budgets and ensure the approved service budgets are adhered to and met.
  • Support development of new tendering opportunities, budgets and service design.
  • Build a detailed understanding of the business requirements and support managers to understand financial and business requirements.

 

What you’ll bring

  • Tertiary degree qualifications in Accounting, Finance or Commerce with a major in Accounting or related field as designated by Mind and/or equivalent experience in a similar industry.
  • Full CPA, CA or CIMA membership is required.
  • Significant demonstrated experience in a Finance Business Partner role in a complex, contemporary environment.
  • Proven experience and understanding of Not for Profit, Community Services, Mental Health, Social Welfare, Housing, Healthcare or Government sectors is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge and understanding of financial management and planning, financial modelling, forecasting, budget control, reporting, compliance requirements and risk management.
