      About the role

      The Heath, Safety and Wellbeing team, part of the People Practice and Learning (PPL) division, deliver national expert support and guidance on Safety, Injury Management, and Wellbeing. They focus on fostering a safe workforce by providing consistent and timely advice, developing policies, and implementing continuous improvement strategies, ensuring legislative compliance.

      We are seeking an experienced and self‑motivated Health, Safety and Wellbeing Partner to join our team in Parramatta on a permanent, full‑time basis. In this role, you will lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of effective WHS and injury management systems, policies, and procedures to ensure organisational compliance with health and safety standards.

      You will work collaboratively across the organisation, building strong relationships with managers, employees, and key stakeholders. Your expertise will guide the delivery of high‑quality advice, coaching, and continuous improvement initiatives across legislative compliance, occupational health, injury management, and risk management.

       

      Key responsibilities

      • Promote a safe workplace by implementing safety protocols and conducting regular assessments for preventative actions.
      • Collaborate with management to foster a culture of safety and wellbeing across the organization.
      • Develop, deliver, and coach leaders and employees on safe work, wellbeing, and injury management programs to enhance employee health and morale.
      • Deliver expert strategic advice and technical HSW support to the managers on practice, policies and procedures, workplace safety, wellbeing management, rehabilitation and occupational risk management, to inform decision making and meet business needs.
      • Support the development and delivery of HSW business processes, policies, procedures, and systems to ensure that Mind operates efficiently and effectively in preventing workplace hazards, incidents and injuries.

       

      What you’ll bring

      • Tertiary degree qualifications in Occupational Health & Safety, Organisational Behaviour, Psychology or other related field as designated by Mind and/or equivalent experience in a similar role.
      • Demonstrated ability to partner, coach, and provide expert advice while managing relationships and stakeholder engagement related to health, safety, and wellbeing (HSW) policies and practices.
      • Proven capability to plan and prioritize effectively to meet strategic goals and stakeholder expectations.
      • Strong skills in consulting, negotiating, influencing, and engaging with organizational leaders, staff, and external partners.
      • Proficiency in strategic thinking, problem-solving, risk management, and data analysis, including conducting risk assessments.

       

      Benefits
