About the role

The organisational function of Lived Experience is to work within Mind’s support hub and drives the implementation of mental health systems reform and service innovations which are informed by lived expertise, intersectionality, human rights and social justice. The Lived Experience Workforce team lead an organisation-wide program of work to support, develop, and embed lived experience workforce.

 

We are seeking an enthusiastic Lived Experience Project Administration Officer for a 12 month fixed term, part time (30.4 hours per week) opportunity in the Burnley area. This is a designated lived expertise role, and you will actively use your lived experience to support your work and connection. You will provide administrative support for the Lived Experience Career Compass (LECC) and other projects within the Lived Experience Workforce team at Mind.  

 

Key responsibilities

  • Demonstrate knowledge and abilities gained from both an individual’s/family/carer lived/living experience, collective impacts and Lived Expertise and be able to support the development of these approaches across the program
  • Support the delivery of three early career programs for LECC by providing administrative support
  • Schedule meetings as directed, distribute agendas & actions and take minutes
  • Support the coordination of events and external meetings, including booking event & meeting spaces, sending calendar invites, organising catering and managing attendee lists
  • Work collaboratively and from a relational perspective, maintaining relationships with the LECC Lead, Lived Experience Project Officer and internal & external stakeholders

 

What you’ll bring

  • Completion of Intentional Peer Support Core and/or Advanced training is desirable but not required
  • Tertiary qualifications in Mental Health, Peer Work, Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) or other health related field as designated by Mind are also desirable but not required
  • Ability to share learnings from your personal story in an appropriate and purposeful manner to support, empower, speak about the times of hopelessness and the importance of hope
  • Previous experience in using lived experience and expertise in a dedicated Peer role strongly desirable
