About the role

We are seeking a Team Leader to join the Outreach Psychosocial Services SA team on a full-time secondment basis until February 2026. In this role, you will lead and support a team in delivering high-quality, recovery-oriented support to people, their families, and carers, in line with Mind’s Model of Recovery Oriented Practice and organisational values.

 

You will act as the practice lead by providing supervision, mentoring and coaching to staff, while also overseeing the day-to-day operations of the service in accordance with service requirements.

 

Key responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and support a team to deliver high-quality, recovery-oriented services that facilitate positive educational, social, and independent living outcomes for the people we support.
  • Provide direct support to people to return to their community, live independently and enjoy a meaningful life through a staged approach to recovery.
  • Lead and model effective practice to staff working with people, provide support to families and carers, and plan and deliver group work.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the service including administration, rostering, facilitating handovers and monitoring budget expenditure.
  • Collaborate with a range of services and the community to ensure a coordinated, integrated response to people’s recovery goals.

 

What you’ll bring

  • Tertiary qualifications (minimum Certificate IV) in Mental Health, Peer Work, Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy or other health-related field.
  • Expertise in supporting people with mental health challenges and complex needs, with proven ability to lead teams in recovery-oriented, trauma-informed, and family-inclusive practices.
