About the role

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Team Leader to join our Wellness Connect and Family Mental Health Support Service in Grenfell on a permanent, full-time basis. In this role, you will lead and support a team in delivering high-quality, recovery-oriented support to people, their families, and carers in line with Mind’s Model of Recovery Oriented Practice and organisational values for people with a psychosocial disability.

 

You will act as the practice lead by providing supervision, mentoring and coaching to staff, while also overseeing the day-to-day operations of the service in accordance with program requirements.

 

Key responsibilities

  • Support and coach a team to provide trauma-informed services to children and young people utilising evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
  • Model effective practice to staff working with people, provide support to families and carers, and plan and deliver group work.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the service including administration, rostering, facilitating handovers and monitoring budget expenditure.
  • Collaborate with a range of services and the community to ensure a coordinated, integrated response to people’s recovery goals.
  • Champion initiatives for the lived experience workforce and LGBTIQA+ specialisation throughout the organisation and Mental Health Sector.

 

What you’ll bring

  • Tertiary qualifications (minimum Certificate IV) in Mental Health, Peer Work, Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy or other health-related field.
  • Expertise in supporting people with mental health challenges and complex needs, with proven ability to lead teams in recovery-oriented, trauma-informed, and family-inclusive practices.
