About the role

The Quality, Practice and Learning Business Unit is responsible for driving excellence in service delivery through a strong focus on quality, contemporary practice development inclusive of lived experience led- and centred- approaches, evidence including Mind outcome measures, and robust lived experience informed, practice and clinical governance. Through leadership and collaboration, the Quality, Practice and Capability stream aims to continuously improve service delivery, enhance workforce capability, and ensure the highest standards of support, care and organisational performance.

 

We are seeking an experienced, self-motivated Quality Assurance Advisor for an opportunity to support One Door Mental Health and Mind Australia in client safety and quality to enable the organisation to deliver safe, high quality services. The successful candidate may work remotely from any location within Australia. However, the role includes periodic travel to New South Wales to support operational and quality activities.

 

Key responsibilities

  • Support One Door/Mind’s accreditation processes and compliance obligations.
  • Support leaders to build their capability in implementing best practice approaches to incident response and reporting and complaint management and resolution.
  • Identify improvements and develop strategies to implement continuous improvements in managing incidents and complaints.
  • Provide internal advice and guidance on privacy matters and assist leaders to understand their obligations under the Privacy Act and other relevant legislation.
  • Support the refinement of policies, procedures and guidelines by contributing quality insights and improvement suggestions based on audit and compliance findings.
  • Actively support the integration and alignment of One Door and Mind Australia quality assurance systems, processes and reporting activities.
  • Engage and collaborate with key stakeholders to support compliance as well as build a culture of continuous improvement.

 

What you’ll bring

  • Tertiary qualifications (minimum Certificate IV) or equivalent experience in Mental Health or other health related field as designated by Mind.
  • Significant experience in a compliance role or similar.
  • Knowledge of safety and quality principles and systems in a health care setting.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills and the ability to establish and maintain professional relationships with key external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrates innovation, utilises critical and creative thinking with the ability to translate ideas into workplace improvements.
